On August 2nd, we're diving into the lesser-known but undeniably important role women played during the American Revolution. Our main event? A spotlight on the Edenton Tea Party of 1774, where a group of enterprising women came together to take a stand—armed not with muskets, but with teacups and a whole lot of sass. And, let's be honest, they probably had the best gossip too, because who doesn't love a little tea on the side?

Join Katelynn Hatton, the editor of the North Carolina Colonial Records Project, as she dishes out the daring tales of these patriot women and the ripples their actions sent through North Carolina's Backcountry.
